Vintage MOP Marcasite Ring, Sz. 7.5, 1980's. It is 1.25" down the finger and just shy of 3/4" across the finger. It is marked .925 and tested with a weight of appx. 5.96 gr. The mother-of-pearl is a bezel-set raised stone that is appx. 19.5mm long and 8mm wide. It has an open scalloped frame with marcasites set throughout - all marcasites are present. It has an open bridged undercarriage as it sits on top of the finger. The band raises up to the marcasite edge and is appx. 1.8mm around the finger. It is not signed by the maker. It does have vintage oxidation that can be polished/cleaned to be bright and shiny again. I do not remove that as most buyers I encounter prefer the ring as is and will not purchase polished rings.
