Vintage Wrapped Opal Necklace, 10kt & 14kt GF, 24". The opal is likely a created opal. It is appx. 17.5mm by 8.5mm, oval an wrapped with 10kt G.F. square wire that holds the stone snugly and on top hsa coils and a double tapered bail. There is aa crack near the upper right wrap. It is not through the stone and the stone is stable. The pendant is appx. 1.5" long and 1/2" wide. The chain is 24" and is marked 1/20 14kt G.F. on the spring ring clasp. It is appx. 1.2mm wide. The gold filled is all yellow gold and in very good condition. It is not signed by the maker. This is likely a hand made piece as I got quite a few of these pieces from an estate where it appears they either collected these pieces or were makers of jewelry involving natural stones and other stones.
