Vintage Enameled Dog Brooch signed Carven Depose, French, 1950's-1960's. The dog has floppy fury on it's forehead with blue glass cabochon eyes, balck enameled nose, rhinestone muzzle and paws, red enameled mouth and a black enameled quilted torso as if it is wearing a jacket - curved smooth gold tone whiskers and tail. The dog has both smooth and textured finish and raised and lowered surfaces. It is marked 14 99 on the back, likely the model number with it signed Carven in one area and Depose in another. this comes from the maker Carmen de Tommasso with the first three letters of her first name CAR used and the last three of her aunt Beyiven or VEN making up CARVEN. Paris is the origin. Very good condition. I have not found na exact match to this pin so it is likely a more rare design. The clear stones in other brooches are listed as Swarovski crystals.
