10th century AD. Silvered bronze, over 1 1/8" diameter, relief decorated with incised borders and a series of stars or flowers in the field. The rim notched for its cross pin which is intact. Surface textured from burial. Professionally refurbished with the silver overlay restored, on a modern Sterling silver neck chain. Jewelry gift boxed with a certification of authenticity. Rare motif.
