Description

Broad, full, rounded edge flat section, of transitional form. 7/8" width with pierced rectangle surrounded by three " circle and dot" motifs. Surely of spiritual/mystical significance, now lost. For Vikings, the heart stood for bravery, fortitude, loyalty, integrity, all attributes of the warrior. It is said that Hrungnir, with whom Thor dueled (assisted by a sorceress), had a heart of stone. Professionally refurbished with the pure silver overlay restored, on an 18" modern Sterling silver neck chain for contemporary wear. Gift boxed with a certificate of authenticity.
