A single 19th century British Colonial carved wood column with custom stand. This antique hand-carved wooden architectural element from India, which stands approximately 6.5 feet in height, features a smooth and rounded column which tapers gently towards it top, which is nicely carved. This piece is nicely displayed upon a 1/2 inch thick, circular-shaped, custom iron base (which is included). The wood is has a nice, earthy patina showing its age and prior history of use. There are some areas with missing wood, prior cut-outs, which can be seen in the additional images for this piece. This 19th century British Colonial column would make a great decorative object, adding nice height and architectural interest within your home or office, perhaps filling an otherwise empty corner.
