This work clearly represents the artistic moment of a consolidated futurism.
Severini said in that historical period:
"The method of cubists consisted in dealing with the object turning around; the futurists pretended to enter the object. In my opinion, the two points of view can reconcile themselves in a poetic knowledge of the world. But, for the fact itself, to appeal to the creative depths of the painter by awakening hidden, intuitive and vivifying forces, futurist theories, better than the Cubist principles, have opened unexplored and unlimited horizons "
This work, like the instantaneous of the painter's sensations, finds himself "flying on a three -dimensional world", which communicates something very strong; Severini interprets this atmosphere and uses it as the culmination of an architectural project, conclusion of a search for space and feeling.
Rayed catalog: Milan, 1988, p.179, n. 209 (illustrated)
