A scarce Vietnam War era US Navy "Tonkin Gulf" USS Du Pont (DD-941) Zippo Lighter in good to very good condition. USS Du Pont (DD-941), named for Rear Admiral Samuel Francis Du Pont USN and was a Forrest Sherman-class destroyer. She was part of the Cuban Missile Blockade, the search for the Thresher and was the first ship to reach Gemini 5 in 1964. During the years of the Vietnam War...she traded gunfire with Vietnamese shore batteries, supporting the troops - firing over 90,000 rounds of 5" shells and getting hit once. In the 1980s she served in the Persian Gulf against Iran...and later off Lebanon.
