Of King Edward VII Royal Interest, a Bohemian engraved glass tankard, early 20th century,

of clear glass etched and inscribed 'Esrte Pilsner Actien-Brauerei Leop. Steiniger Eger', with a pewter mount and thumbpiece, together with a postcard of Edward VII and Kaiser Franz Josef, another reproduction, card, a print of the Hotel Weimer, along with handwritten notes in Czech

Provenance:

Reputedly presented to King Edward VII whilst staying at the Hotel Weimer in the Czech spa town of Mariánské Lázně, west of Prague. The brewery Esrte Pilsner Actien-Brauerei was founded in 1869. King Edward VII visited the hotel from 1897 and returned regularly for years.

Owned by the present vendor's family, who lived in the Czech Republic, and this and the previous lot, both were acquired from a relative.
