A spectacular Bulgari 18k gold necklace, featuring Sri Lanka sapphires and diamonds and created circa late 1970s to early 1980s. We have a Certificate of Authenticity (see picture 6). The necklace is set with seven emerald-cut sapphires of Sri Lankan origin, natural with no heat treatment, weighing total of 39.77 carats. Each sapphire weight ranges from 7.64 to 4.23 carats and is individually engraved on the reverse of the setting (see pictures 12-18). The sapphires come with a GRS Lab Gemstone Report confirming their origin and treatment status. The sapphires are spaced across the front of the necklace and set in heavy gold bezels flanked by vertical rows of baguette-cut diamonds. Between the sapphire sections, the gold links alternate with curved, pave-set diamond segments and twisted gold rope motifs, forming a continuous, articulated collar. This statement necklace has a bold, structured look typical of Bulgari pieces from this era. This Bvlgari vintage necklace is made of 18 karat yellow gold and features seven emerald cut sapphires - 7.64, 7.01, 6.12, 5.64, 4.58, 4.55 and 4.23 carat (total weight 39.77 carats, each sapphire carat weight is engraved on the corresponding setting). The sapphires were identified by GRS Lab as natural with no indication of heat treatment of Sri Lanka origin (see picture 5). The sapphire carat weight was calculated by formula as 41.60 carats total. The necklace is encrusted with round brilliant and baguette cut diamonds - approximately 15.00 carats total weight, G-H color, VVS-VS clarity. The necklace measures 16 ½” x 3/8” (38.5 x 0.7 cm). The necklace weighs 91.0 grams. The piece is stamped with Bvlgari logo, hallmark for 18 karat gold. The necklace comes in a Bvlgari pouch (see picture 11).
