A neat faded French Forces of the Interior FFI Armband that is in worn condition. Formed in 1944 as a more formal fighting force, the FFI was a mobilized light infantry force of the French Resistance movement. Supplied by the Allies and now able to fight on a unit level instead of small groups, they were a formidable fighting group against the German occupation till the end of the war in Europe.
