Wassily Kandinsky (1866-1944) was a Russian painter and writer. He graduated from the Odessa Art School, moved to Germany, and then to a Parisian suburb. His use of geometric forms contributed significantly to 20th-century art. His artwork is now featured in numerous museums worldwide.
