A fine and extremely rare George I silver shaped circular salver decorated with an outer applied wire border for highlights and inner ‘ribbing’ which stylishly ‘frames’ the beautiful contemporary armorial. The salver sits on a low spreading foot.

Note: Footed salvers are incredibly rare especially early 18th century examples. However tazzas were much more common in the early part of the 18th century.
