Title:WARREN KEITH Early 20th Century Watercolor Seated Woman in a Hat

Description:Circa (1910-1920) Seated Woman in a Hat, 13-3/4" x 12" watercolor on cardboard, signed lower right: Warren Keith. Unframed. We are not certain which Warren Keith this is but it may be by Warren Keith -Born in Dayton, NV on June 17, 1878. Keith was raised in Carson City during the boom years of the Comstock Lode. He was working for the Hearst papers in San Francisco at the time of the 1906 earthquake. He then moved to NYC where he was president of the Kit Kat Club for artists. Returning to Nevada, he drowned in the Wabuska River on Nov. 24, 1920. Edan Hughes, "Artists in California, 1786-1940"
