Description:BARBARA WEST. California Artist. Mid Century oil painting of a Pensive Clown, Circa 1958, 20" x 16" oil on board (framed size: 28-1/2" x 24-1/2") signed lower right. This work was exhibited at the Artist's Guild of America Exhibition from April 27th to May 30th 1958 and the label/paperwork on the back is mostly torn off. A few of the other artists in the show were Paul Lauritz, Andrew Dobos, Pat Cucaro, Nell Walker Warner and others.
Barbara West was a member of the Carmel Art Association and participated in many shows.
