Description

A vintage Lladro glazed porcelain figurine titled Cobbler (also known as El Zapatero), model number 4853. Designed by artist Salvador Furio, this piece depicts an elderly craftsman in a focused pose, seated on a wooden stool while working on a shoe with a cobbler's hammer. The figure is dressed in a flat cap, waistcoat, and full-length apron, with a small wooden tool crate at his feet and an additional boot resting on the circular base. The figurine is finished in the classic Lladro palette of soft grays, tans, and muted earth tones with a high-gloss glaze. The underside features the blue Lladro factory backstamp with the tulip logo, HAND MADE IN SPAIN, and (c) DAISA, along with incised production marks. Height: 10 inches.
