Striking Old Master–inspired rooster oil on canvas portrait, signed "˜Evans' in lower left corner.

The composition features a richly plumed gamecock adorned with leg bands, rendered in dramatic jewel tones against a softly atmospheric ground. The modeling of the feathers and subtle tonal shading lend the piece a classical European sporting sensibility.

Presented in an ornate, heavily carved composite gilt frame with verdigris and deep red accents, the frame adds depth and architectural presence, elevating the painting's traditional character.
