The central figure stands confidently in a mustard-tone frock coat with delicate gilt trim, while the ladies flank him in softly colored pastel gowns adorned with hand-painted floral decoration. The sculptural detailing is exceptional "” note the delicately modeled fingers, lace cuffs, floral sprigs, and expressive facial features.
The group stands upon a naturalistic base with soft hand-tinted coloration.
Marked on the underside with the underglaze blue crossed swords of Meissen, with cancellation slashes indicating factory second quality. Also impressed with model number "623."
Factory seconds were typically downgraded due to minor glaze or firing imperfections and do not indicate structural damage.
