Pair of Antique Vienna Style Cobalt Blue & Gilt Porcelain Pedestal Urns, Circa 1900

Description

A striking pair of antique Vienna-style porcelain pedestal urns dating to circa 1900. These decorative urns feature a rich cobalt blue ground with elaborate raised gilt ornamentation and hand-painted pastoral landscape reserves.

Each urn is adorned with scrolling gilt handles, classical banding, and pedestal bases with extensive gold detailing. The oval medallions depict charming countryside scenes framed in intricate gilt scrollwork against the deep cobalt ground.

Marked "Vienna" beneath a crown.

These urns were at some point converted to lamps, as evidenced by interior mounting hardware, and no longer retain their original lids. They present beautifully as decorative statement pieces for mantels, consoles, or entryway displays.

Very good antique condition with age-appropriate wear to gilt. One interior hairline crack consistent with age. Structurally stable.
