Finely worked in gold and silver threads, depicting five-clawed dragons in pursuit of flaming pearls, set against chestnut-brown ground, interspersed with stylized ruyi-head clouds, auspicious bats, and Buddhist emblems. The lowerhem is further decorated with a deep 'standing water' border of diagonal stripes, rising to turbulent waves and jagged rockwork. The sleeves terminate in dark purple silk extensions and ribbed 'horse-hoof' cuffs embellished with dragonand cloud motifs. L:140.5cm, W: 212cm
