
A group of vintage silver gelatin press prints (31), related to the Royal Visit to Canada and America, in June 1939, image size 7.6 x9.7cm (smallest), 26.3 x35cm (largest). Comprising prints showing official visits and meetings across Canada and America, such as Their Majesties being introduced to the Canadian Premier Mr. Mackenzie King; a visit to the War Memorial in Ottawa, and Niagara Falls. The lot includes a print depicting the evocative moment in which King George VI bowed his head in a silent prayer at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Arlington; various press agency stamps on the verso, such as Wide World Photos, The Topical Press Agency, The Associated Press of Great Britain, The International Graphic Press, most typed captioned on the verso.
