With 36 mounted cabinet size portraits, each with an accompanying biography of the sitter. Features Victorian royalty plus the great and the good of society. Including Sarah Bernhardt, Prince of Wales, Sir Frederic Leighton, Lilly Langtry etc. Bound in brown cloth with floral borders to front boards and titles in gilt to front and to spines. Slight rubbing to the spine and board edges, with light foxing in places. 96 guilt-edged pages 7 1/2”x 9 1/2" plus 36 photographs. Ornate hardcover and in good overall condition.
