A scrapbook album of approx. 200 albumen prints, image sizes 7.4 x 4cm (smallest) to 21.2 x 28.5cm (largest), most captioned and dated in ink in the lower margin. Subjects include portraits of the Boyle family, particularly of Miss Elizabeth M. Boyle, who possibly compiled the scrapbook and dedicated it to son John Archibald Boyle; and a portrait of Richard Vicars Boyle, who took part in the Siege of Arrah, 1857; a print of Chartwell, Westerham, Kent, which was to become Churchill's family home; and a print depicting Stonehenge. Other subjects include images of various towns, villages, and temples across India; images of ancient Indian reliefs and sculptures; and group portraits of Indian Officers and young women in traditional Indian clothes.
Together with a group of (18) loose albumen prints and cabinet cards, image size 15 x 10cm (smallest) and 19 x 28.5cm (largest), featuring group portraits of Indian men and women, and images of Buddhist reliefs.
