Charles Schulz (American, 1922-2000). Original four panel "Peanuts" comic strip, the daily strip for September 1, 1984. Black ink over pencil on drawing board. Pen signed "Sparky" along the top margin. Inscribed "For Allen with friendship." Depicting Snoopy's brother Spike walking to the edge of a river and starting a trip downstream in a bucket.

Condition
There are no visible tears. The sheet is unevenly toned. Some signs of moisture exposure and a tideline along the verso of the mat; there is corresponding undulation throughout the sheet. There is a singular area of foxing along the upper edge of the second panel. There is a small tideline along the lower left corner and two areas of soiling along the lower edge of the left half of the work. Housed under a non-acidic mat. Framed under plexiglass; light wear to the frame. Not inspected out of frame.
