Leonid Pavlovich Bessaraba - born July 29, 1935 in the village of Novaya Greblya, Lipovetsky district, Vinnitsa region. He studied at the Kiev Art Institute. The painter worked in such genres as landscape, portrait, thematic painting. He worked in Khmelnytsky pedagogical school, was the chief artist of Khmelnytsky art and production workshops of the Art Fund of Ukraine. The main works of the artist: “In Life”, “Underground Proskurov”, “Without Right to Mistake”, “Portrait of the writer A. Macevichi”, “Liberation of Proskurov”, “Evening Gurzuf”, “First Snow”, “Southern Bug”. He worked on 6 dioramas dedicated to the 2nd World War and participants of the war in Afghanistan. Participated in regional, republican, international and personal exhibitions. Works of the artist are exhibited in Khmelnitsky Art Museum. Member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine.
