About the artist:

Born on August 24, 1946 to the family of the famous Kyiv artist Petr Ivanovich Babak (1922-1973).
In 1976 he graduated from the Kharkov Art and Industrial Institute, department of industrial graphics. Studied in the workshop of Egorov and Professor Vikhtinsky
During his studies, he received several awards for participating in poster competitions.
Since 1999, he has taken part in regional and all-Ukrainian exhibitions and plein airs.
The artist’s personal exhibitions were held in Kharkov (1998, 2002, 2007, 2017), Germany (1999), Krasnograd (2003), Lvov (2009).

Since 2003 Member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine
The works of Vyacheslav Babak are in museums of Ukraine (Krasnograd, Chuguev), as well as in private collections in Ukraine, Russia, Germany, USA, Spain, Israel.

Vyacheslav Babak is a recognized master of landscape painting. The artist’s canvases are filled with lyricism and romantic mood.
His color palette is devoid of excessive expressiveness; in almost every painting, the image of nature is depicted using the quiet “sound” of soft halftones, giving lightness and depth.
