About the artist: Born August 13, 1912 in Tulchin (now Chernihiv region). Graduated from the Kiev Art Institute (1946). Studied under O. Shovkunenko. He worked in the field of easel painting. Major works: "Sholom Aleichem" (1947); "Song of the Motherland"; "First Graders" (1954)"; Seashore "(1961)"; Breakfast. 1918" (1968) and others. Participated in republican exhibitions since 1947.
