Only 108 with date of 1980 were produced. Description of this plate in the 1981 guide -Pairpoint's First Fifty Plates" reads: In 1588, the great artist, Tintoretto, executed his masterpiece, Paradise, at the Ducal Palace in the City of the Sea – a colossal canvas of 2,220 square feet, the largest of all pictures ever painted. In 1930, that was superseded in size by a mural decoration of 6,400 square feet, designed by Rockwell Kent, the distinguished American artist, & Jo Meilziner, the famous scenic artist. This mural is located in the Cape Cinema on the grounds of the Cape Playhouse. A scene from this work of art is the subject of this cup plate. On a window sill, these cup plates capture the sun beautifully, further enhancing the intricate designs & color.Condition: Excellent condition, no chips or cracks.
