They are the basis for these lithographed prints first published in the Annual Report of the New York Fish and Game Commission between 1894 and 1905. Denton’s signature is in the plate. Because of the popularity of these images at the time, the Commission produced a portfolio c 1903 that included all the fish prints as well as others. Our prints come from the portfolio and were not removed from printed volumes.
