This STURDY cotton 1870's/1880's cinnamon pink and white baskets quilt is all hand pieced and hand quilted, with treadle machine stitched basket handles.
It measures 72" X 74" and is in excellent condition, with the occasional small age spot and no wear.
The hand quilting is superb, with straight line and feathered designs quilted throughout at an even 7-8 stitches to the inch.
The back is white, the hand stitched binding is a maroon fabric, and the batting is thin. The quilt came out of a collection in Washington County, Ohio and likely came out of central Pennsylvania.
