Rare and spectacular console table crafted by the premier artisans and the masters of the unique, Maitland-Smith! Their creations from the 1980s were some of their best ever. It is believed that the ingenious designer Karl Springer worked with some of the same artisans in the Philippines to create many of his fine exotic pieces during those years.

A timeless creation that just has the best FAUX-tortoise-shell (simulated) artisan hand-painted surface we've ever seen! The entire exterior surface (except the backside) is a painted "˜trompe l'oeil' masterpiece including the off-white edging FAUX-bone (simulated) element. Then the entire form was finished with a superb high-gloss lacquered finish, likely with many coats. So now you have a one-of-a-kind heirloom worthy treasure! This stunning piece is beautiful, heavy, solidly built and substantial.

We imagine this could be the star-attraction placed in a foyer, living or dining room.
Please note: being a semi-circular form, this console table is meant to be placed along a wall.
