Title: Oil painting Village under summer Oksana Kalenyuk Description: NoAAA5124The oil painting on Cardboard titled "Village under Summer" immerses the viewer in a vibrant, sun-drenched world where color pulses with energy and life seems to breathe through the brushstrokes. This expressive piece captures the heart of a summer day in the countryside, where the land, sky, and architecture exist in perfect, glowing harmony. At the center of the composition stands a charming village house, its walls painted in a striking shade of turquoise that contrasts boldly with the saturated red-orange of the sloping roof. This structure, though simple in design, becomes the soul of the scene - a place of warmth, shelter, and the memory of many seasons. The artist's use of the palette knife gives the roof and walls a rich texture, echoing the worn but enduring spirit of the building. Three windows lined with dark trim peer out beneath the roof like eyes full of stories, while a small garden blooms nearby, barely contained by the edges of the frame. Surrounding the house, nature plays a central role. A large tree, possibly a birch or poplar, spreads its leafy crown like a green umbrella to the left of the house. The tree's trunk, painted in creamy white with streaks of ochre and cool shadows, gives the impression of light flickering across its surface. Its foliage bursts in bright green patches, each stroke layered to suggest movement, volume, and the shimmer of heat. This tree seems almost anthropomorphic - standing protectively beside the house like a guardian of the village's peace. The ground beneath is alive with shifting color. Pathways wind through the scene in curving bands of lavender, ochre, and beige, pulling the viewer's eye toward the house and beyond. Each patch of earth, grass, and stone is depicted in a unique combination of colors: yellows and greens blend into cool violets and dusty rose tones, conveying the sense of land baked by the sun and gently weathered by footsteps over time. The path is not only physical but metaphorical - it leads us into the heart of the rural experience, where beauty is found in the ordinary.
