Title: Oil painting The gold of an October day Oksana Kalenyuk Description: NoAAA5130The oil painting on Cardboard titled "The gold of an October day" captures the splendor of autumn in its full majestic bloom, channeling the warmth and richness of the season into a breathtaking composition. With bold, impasto brushwork and an electrifying palette of reds, oranges, yellows, and blues, the artist presents not just a landscape, but a moment where time appears to stand still in reverent admiration of nature's beauty. The central focus of the painting lies in the golden canopy of trees that dominates the upper portion of the composition. Their foliage bursts with intense hues of amber, crimson, burnt sienna, and lemon yellow-colors that feel sunlit and alive, yet carry the nostalgic undertone of passing time. These trees tower above the humble village structures below, acting almost like guardians of memory and change. Their trunks, rendered in textured whites and browns, stretch skyward and are echoed by the gestural sky, streaked with gentle patches of blue and violet, giving the whole painting an ethereal and almost dreamlike quality. Nestled beneath this cascade of foliage are quaint rural cottages, their roofs and walls touched by the palette of the season. The roofs are painted in earthy tones-soft grays, beiges, and muted purples-that harmonize with the vibrant natural background without becoming lost in it. The structures feel aged, familiar, and grounded, suggesting a long-standing connection to the land they rest upon. This visual balance between the built and the natural world reflects the gentle coexistence of human life and nature in village life. In the foreground, fields painted in a patchwork of golden yellows, ochres, and lime greens stretch toward the viewer. These rolling fields are textured with bold strokes that suggest not only vegetation but also the play of light and shadow across the terrain. The field is divided subtly by fence posts and paths, their placement guiding the eye deeper into the composition while adding a sense of spatial order.
