Title: Oil painting House in the village Oksana Kalenyuk Description: NoAAA5145The oil painting on Cardboard titled "House in the Village" immerses the viewer in the warm and peaceful ambiance of rural life, offering a snapshot of a world where time moves slowly and beauty is found in simplicity. This work, executed in bold impasto strokes, is a celebration of domestic comfort, nature's abundance, and the quiet rhythm of everyday living in the countryside. At the center of the composition stands a charming whitewashed village house with a traditional thatched roof. Its walls reflect the soft midday sun, glowing with pale shades of lavender and light blue that blend harmoniously with the surrounding greenery. The roof, rendered in warm ochres and soft browns, offers a cozy contrast to the cool tones of the walls, evoking the shelter and safety the home provides. Around the house, nature flourishes. To the left of the building, vibrant red and pink flowers burst with energy, painted in thick, expressive strokes that suggest blooming hollyhocks or dahlias. These bold blossoms draw the eye and inject the scene with vitality, suggesting the presence of attentive hands tending to the garden. Along the fence line, delicate whites and soft purples hint at laundry drying in the summer breeze, adding to the feeling of lived-in tranquility. The foreground is a rich mosaic of greens and yellows, capturing the lushness of the grass and the garden beds that surround the home. Here, the artist's palette knife creates a vivid texture, making the terrain feel tangible and full of life. The greens range from deep forest shades to vibrant lime and chartreuse, layered over strokes of violet and peach-colored earth. This ground seems to ripple with movement-sunlight filtering through leaves, gentle breezes, the quiet stirrings of chickens pecking through the grass. Indeed, nestled within the sunlit patch of earth in the lower right corner, a small group of chickens can be seen, their rust-colored feathers catching the light as they forage and cluck softly. Their presence introduces a gentle energy to the composition, representing the quiet industry of country life and the harmonious coexistence of humans and animals in the village.
