Vintage Sterling Seagull Scrimshaw Necklace, 16", Handmade. Appx. 1950's-1960's. The chain is definitely 1950's or earlier. The pear-shaped pendant that is appx. 3/4" with bail appears to be hand-made and age is uncertain of that but seagulls became popular in jewelry in the 1960's and therefore estimated at that time - could be older. It is not signed. The chain is marked sterling. Spring clasp. Weight of the chain is appx. .71 gr. Very good condition with oxidation on the chain that can be polished.
