  • Description:Vintage Chinese Import Foo Dog Beaded Necklace, 28" Pre Mid Century. The foo dog is guilloche/enameled accented with white teeth, blue and green and black and pink on the belly. It is holding a ball on the front feet. The pendant is appx. 2" wide and 1.75" tall at the feet with the ball. The head spins. It is a 3-D foo dog. It is strung on a 28" necklace with faux jade and laip like beads with brass disc beads as well. Hook clasp. Age is a bit odd on this - I've seen this listed as 1930's but with the mix of beads this is with and being faux - I do not think it is that early or, it was just restrung later with these beads. Not quite sure. The beads are appx. 8mm to 20.5mm. One bead may look chipped with white on the end but that was some type of residue that has been cleaned. It has a hook clasp. it is not signed by the maker. The brassy foo dog has a gilded gold finish. Very good condition. (NY2?.2X SS16489 J LD 8/25/25).
