SEMI-AUTOMATIC PISTOL. Cal. 7.65mm. S# 390212p. Bbl. 3 13/16". Model PP semi-automatic pistol mfg. during the latter end of World War II. These "ac" coded PP pistols were hastily assembled by unskilled workers at the Walther arsenal in an attempt to meet the dire armament production requirements imposed by the German military at the tail end of the war. This example is marked "391857p" above Walther's "ac" mfg. code on the right side of the slide. S# "390212p" is marked on the right side of the frame. Metal components exhibit a blue finish overall. Frame is mounted with 2-piece Walther banner logo checkered black synthetic grips. Integral blade front sight (rear faced painted yellow) with dovetailed U-notch rear sight. MAGS: 1 7-rd. CONDITION: metal components retain trace to fair amounts of their blue finish, exhibiting wear and thinning overall that shows through to gray and brown patinas, with scattered spots/areas of light to moderate pitting. Mirror bore, exhibiting some scattered spots of very light oxidation/pitting. Proper manual mechanics, to include the safety / decocking lever. Grips show scattered handling marks and general overall wear, with cracks present on both panels. (25-4863/MLW). CURIO. $300-500.
