Mohka Laget’s work often engages contradictory light sources which open the viewer to infinite perceptual shifts between flow and disruption. This is the geometry she is fascinated by, as a way to subvert reason or, to quote Bridget Riley, to “stimulate the mind’s eye.” Mokha Laget created Pliage, a 7-color lithograph, in 2014 with the Landfall printing press. Measuring 25.5 x 32 inches, this unframed work is edition 16/25. The composition features folded, angular shapes in vibrant hues.
