Born in Chicago in 1946, Sloan became a mother in the 1970s. Feeling the claustrophobia of young motherhood, she began to paint all of the objects in her kitchen from cereal boxes to the the chrome toaster on her kitchen counter. Sloan’s work can now be found in the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York, the Art Institute of Chicago, and more. She created "Counterpoise" in 2002, a 6-color lithograph. Measuring 21 x 22.5 inches, this unframed work is AP 7/20. The composition presents reflective still-life elements. It is signed and in very good condition. We do not offer in-house shipping but you can arrange your own by contacting one of these four trusted shippers who can deliver your artworks to you safely and fully insured.
