This intaglio on paper measures 13.81 x 15.44 inches unframed and is edition 1/6 STII. Filip’s work often blends narrative and abstraction, using dynamic lines and layered symbolism from communist-era Romania. "E quasi sera ormai" means "it is almost evening" in Italian, a line from a subversive show Filip did with an Italian poet subtly criticizing Romanian leader Ceau?escu.
