Vintage PSU 1977 Class Ring, Sz. 11.75, Siladium, Penn State Unsiversity, Signed ArtCarved. This has a purple faceted stone that is testing as Spinel or Topaz on the Presidium. The stone is oval and appx. 11.5mm by 9mm. It has the wording Pennsylvania State University around it with tye year 1855 at bottom . The letters B and BA areon one side with a depiction of the Old Main building and 1855 PSU under that with a woodgrain style decorative accent around the back of the band to the other side. The other side has the Nittany Lion and 1977 on top with a crest and virtue, liberty, and independence and PSU under that as well. It has a pair of chips on one facet of the stone. Other than that, this is in excellent condition. Siladium is a trademarked, high-grade jeweler's stainless steel alloy used primarily for class rings and other durable jewelry. It was developed by the company ArtCarved to provide a high-quality, durable, and affordable alternative to precious metals like gold.
