Victorian Buckle Pieces, Purple Glass & Brass, Scrolled, 1800's. These two pieces are very similar but are not exact design but look like they go together. However they do each have a 1" opening for the belt to fit through but they do not hook to each other - it is as if they have a center piece that would connect the belt in front that is not with these two pieces . Something certainly could be done to repurpose these beauties to work together. I'm just not a Victorian expert to understand these. One side has a faceted amethyst colored rhienstoens and the other side has rounded amethyst cabochons in two shades of purple so it could jut be that these are each just missing their true other half and that these are just so similar they look like they belong together. They do appear to be made by the same maker but there are no m arkings but the hook and undercarriage is so similar. They are in good to very good victorian condition.
