Vintage Sterling apphire CZ Halo Ring, Sz. 5.5, Signed Espo, 1980's . Espo is Joseph Esposito is has been in business before 1960's but first used the maker's mark in 1961 when it was required. He also sold on QVC. This has a lab created blue sapphire (not just glass or crystal) that is appx. 7.5mm by 5.5mm oval. It sits up a little higher than clear cz halo around it. It is marked sterling and tests as sterling and has a rhodium anti-tarnish protective treatment. The ring is papx. 13.5mm down the finger and has a triple split band from the sides of the finger up to the setting. The band at the point is appx. 6mm wide and tapers to appx. 2.4mm at the back of the finger. Weight of the ring is appx. 3.68 grams. It is marked and tests as sterling. Very good condition.
