Title:SCOLI ACOSTA Man "Recording Tafraoute" Mixed Media on Paper Compare at $3k

Description:SCOLI ACOSTA (b. 1973). This work shows a Man with a Microphone by the Town of Tafraoute in Morocco. Recording Tafraoute, 2012-2015, graphite, colored pencil and acrylic on paper, 11-1/2" x 8-1/4" sight size (framed size: 16" x 13") signed/dated/titled on the bottom back of the paper. Framed in a custom double sided glass frame. Because the way this is framed you can see the silver wire that hangs the piece when you hang it on a wall because the glass is clear. This is double sided glass to show the artist's signature on the back. Provenance: The Estate of Juliet McIver (1951-2022), Los Angeles, a well known contemporary art collector. Next to her art collecting practice, which focused on minimalist and abstract works by important Southern California artists such as Mary Corse, McIver actively supported the career of young artists and carried out philanthropic work at L.A.’s cultural institutions. Compare this painting at the $3,000 range. We are showing a 6-3/10" x 4-18/25" piece as photograph 6 which is $2500.00. The piece we have is larger so we believe it would be in the $3,000 range. Once the artist's work gets larger, it can go much higher. We are also showing a 34-1/2" x 48" piece as photograph 7 that is $10,000 online.
Scoli Acosta was born in 1973 in Los Angeles, where he lives and works. Winner of the Perrier-Jouët Prize for Best Artist in 2008 at the ZOO ART FAIR (London), he graduated from the Kansas City Art Institute (1994) and the Ultimate Akademie, Cologne (1997)
