Description
Moser Glassworks has been in business since 1857 created astonishing and remarkable art work from vases, urns, glassware and more. The firms ability to master engrave and enamel works lead them to the World Exhibition in Paris circa 1900 which later allowed Moser to be honored with the title of court contractor. Thanks to the success of the Royal collection, Moser becomes the court supplier of Edward VII, the King of England. Collections all across the world enjoy the works created by this incredible artisan.
This pitcher exemplifies the work of the talented firm, showcasing the cranberry glass body. Which is finely decorated with peony enameled flowers conjoined by delicate hand painted vine work. The body also has a rather unusual "Drip" motif which I do not see often in his work. The entire piece is accented by a lattice gilt work to the rim and a polished pontil to underside.
