18th Century French Grape Gathering Basket

Description

Rare antique basket from a wine chateau in France. Super sturdy with not one weak branch. Not sure exactly what type of wicker was used. Looks like actual tree roots. Maybe that's why it's so strong. I have not found this shape anywhere. The city this basket came from is Toulouse.
