Description
This one-of-a-kind, exquisite Murano glass vase, hand-blown by Italian master glassblower Adriano Dalla Valentina, showcases the rich artistry and centuries-old tradition of Venetian glassmaking. Featuring a striking murrine pattern in warm amber, golden honey, and earthy green tones, the surface reveals mesmerizing concentric swirls and intricate textural details that capture light beautifully from every angle. The sculptural silhouette, elevated by a flared lip and clear ribbed glass orb stem featuring fine gold aventurine, reflects both the highest standards of technical mastery and artistic elegance.
Ideal for display in refined interiors, whether taking center stage on an entry table or displayed within a curated collection of fine glass sculptures, this art vase embodies the timeless allure of Murano craftsmanship and the enduring appeal of classically inspired Italian design.
An investment-level collectible work of art, the bottom of the vase includes a signature hand-etched by the artist, as well as a personal inscription to the seller who purchased the vase during a visit to Murano Island in 2009. The vase is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity signed by Valentina as well as artist-provided images illustrating his creative process, documents which will be separately mailed to the purchaser once the acquisition is finalized and the return window has lapsed.
Adriano Dalla Valentina (1945-2019) was born on the island of Murano and began working in various glass factories from ten years old, learning various traditional glass-blowing techniques. He opened his own studio at the early age of twenty-four and later founded a glassworks company called Linea Vallentina, working for many decades to establish himself as one of the greatest masters of Murano glass.
