Rare antique Capodimonte porcelain reticulated centerpiece bowl surrounded by 4 putti cherubs each playing a musical instrument. The background is slightly off -white with terra cotta splashes of color throughout. Impressive in size, it measures 13 1/4" x 10" x 6" high (bowl only), 7 1/2" high to top of cherub.
Mid-Century Capodimonte was produced by many independent studios rather than one central company. In 1948, Rizoni was likely the master decorator or the owner of a small boutique workshop in the Naples or Milan region.
Signed & dated on one side -- Rizoni 1/6/48, Marked Made in Italy on bottom.
