What an amazing piece of Italian mixed metal artwork! This wall pocket is massive and depicts St. Francis of Assisi with two birds. The piece is comprised of brass, tole, and possibly other metals. The wall pocket hangs by the two metal, rope-like supports to each side of the piece. Portions of this piece appear to be handcrafted, hand hammered. We especially like the detail in the head of the figure and the small birds on each side. A perfect gift for any fan of Italian Saints, as this year commemorates 800 years since St. Francis of Assisi's passing. The figurine of St. Francis on the top of the piece is six inches in width, three inches in depth and ten inches in height. This piece is very good vintage condition with a varied, but appropriate looking patina to the mixed metals. The piece appears to have all its original parts or form.
