About the artist: Born February 2, 1912 in the village of Abramovo (now the Gorky Region). Graduated from the Penza Art School (1937) and the Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture named after I. Yu. Repin (1952). Teachers by profession - I. Goryushkin-Sorokopudov, M. Petrov, K. Rudakov, L. Ovsyannikov, O. Pakhomov, G. Vereisky. Member of the Great Patriotic War. He worked in the field of easel graphics and posters. Major works: the poster "We are going with us to new lands" (1954); "Lenin is still more alive from all the living * (1957)"; "IN. I. Lenin in 1917 (1958) "; TG Shevchenko "(1964) and others. Participated in exhibitions: republican since 1957, all-Union since 1956, foreign since 1963. Associate Professor (1960). He was awarded the Order of the Red Star and medals. He died on August 21, 1981.
